I would like to invite you to my next retreat," move with intention », in the Moroccan desert, from October 20 to 27.
A retreat for those ready to meet the present moment through embodied awareness, followed by the inner stillness and silence of the sand dunes.
The whisper of the dunes
Long ago, when silence still spoke, a water carrier named Idris lived on the edge of the Moroccan Sahara. Every morning, he walked through the desert carrying clay jars, searching for a hidden well known only to the stars and the wind.
One day, a sandstorm rose like a fire. Blinded and lost, Idris cried out, "Why have you abandoned me?"
The desert responded only with stillness.
When the storm dissipated, Idris stood before a burning dune. An old woman dressed in indigo appeared. Her eyes were deep as time.
"You are looking for water, but your thirst is not that of the body," she said.
“What should I look for?” he asked.
She showed him the sand. "The desert is a mirror. It shows only yourself, until you see with your heart."
She disappeared. Idris followed her. For three days, he wandered without food or water. On the fourth, he collapsed. In abandonment, all fear dissipated.
That's when he heard it—a deep hum, as if the earth was remembering. He dug, struck the stone, and a spring gushed forth, clear, cold, forgiving.
Idris did not return with water, but with silence. The desert had given him no answer. He had given it himself.
This story is an invitation to move with intention—for those ready to explore a space by quietly observing whatever arises. A space where imperfection is welcomed, even honored. A space where emotions, triggers, and unexpected thoughts are gently observed, not fought.
What to expect ?
We begin each day by setting a personal intention. This intention becomes our compass—an anchor for the day—guiding how we move, feel, and relate, not only to ourselves, but to everyone and everything: life itself.
Next, we ground ourselves in movement and breath: Kriya Yoga, to awaken the wisdom of the body. We let movement guide us into presence—out of the mind, into the quiet awareness of the body. Through this, we also connect with the elements:
- The earth (the bones),
water (blood),
fire (digestion),
the air (the spirit) and
space (the vast dunes and the sky).
Each afternoon, we gather and provide space to listen, soften, and express what has surfaced—often tied to the morning's intention and the day's experiences. Creative expression can take any form that feels true, such as journaling, movement, or art. We end the day with group toning exercises or gentle stretches, alternating depending on the day and the group's energy, to integrate and facilitate the evening.
This retreat is for you if…
Life moves on, but you feel called to move, in yoga, across sand dunes, and within—you are held by the vastness of nature and ready to share your energy with others.
You want to reconnect with your body and your emotions through movement.
You want to reclaim your power—with gentleness, honesty, and presence—but you don't know where to start or where it might lead. We're often taught that power is synonymous with control. Here, we explore it through the lens of gentleness, awareness, and truth.
You yearn for silence, change, and deep inner clarity.
Who am I?
I am Parisa, a student of life, a wanderer, a seeker of truth. My essence is curiosity, and I believe that sacred listening is one of the most profound ways to occupy space. I was born in Iran and moved to Norway at the age of fourteen. Living between two cultures has shaped me. This in-betweenness has taught me how pain becomes wisdom and how intention, inspiration, and action create change.
I have made pilgrimages, hiked sacred mountains, and practice trust and surrender in my daily life. I have delved into spiritual practices from various traditions—shamanism, Indian philosophy, and more. I have trained in holistic therapy, NLP (Levels I and II), dance and movement therapy, and sound work. I recently completed 500 hours of CBT in Kundalini Yoga and a pranayama course, but my greatest teacher has been life itself.
I offer a presence, a space for listening, support, and guidance. Through Kriya Yoga and the practices we will explore together during the retreat, you will discover tools you can use in your daily life, tools that will help you stay grounded in embodied consciousness.
