“What are you going to do in the desert? There’s nothing!” That’s right: you won’t find anything superficial there. You’ll discover what’s essential. That’s why many people say they feel intensely alive, happy, finally complete, and at peace there. The desert is an ideal place to (re)connect with yourself, disconnect from the superfluous, and settle into the present moment without thinking about yesterday or tomorrow.
"There's no choice, in the desert, you have to let go," one participant told me. Isn't that wonderful, even miraculous, when we're constantly mentally overloaded in our daily lives?
In the emptiness of the desert circulates a special, fabulous, luminous energy. It carries us and transforms us. Everything invites us to contemplation, simplicity, joy, and happiness without stress.
But all this is still just words because as the Tuareg say, "the desert cannot be spoken about, it must be experienced."
Just the present moment
Join us and you will see, you will feel, you will understand, you will live... life to the rhythm of the desert. We will take the time to sit down, rest, relax, enjoy the present moment, breathe, and smile at the beauty of the landscapes.
We will live in bivouacs, discovering nomadic culture, their music, and their songs. We will taste nomadic tea and enjoy their meals.
We will sleep in tents and, weather permitting, those who wish will sleep under the stars.
Morning and evening, we will practice yoga (vinyasa and yin yoga). I offer dynamic yoga in the morning at sunrise and relaxing yoga in the evening at sunset, at a level accessible to all, adapted to our needs of the moment and according to our energy.
After breakfast, we'll set off on a trek lasting 3 to 4 hours. We'll explore the different landscapes, following the pace of the nomad caravan. We'll change camps every day.
